Saad Abu-Odeh
A professional executive focused on the management of operations with extensive experience in the regional telecommunications and energy industries.
From 2008-2010, Saad was the CEO of Kingdom Electricity in Jordan where he supported the acquisition and privatization of the electricity distribution companies in Jordan (EDCO and IDECO) and was closely engaged in establishing the new electricity supply regulatory framework. Saad was subsequently responsible for integration and transforming these previously government-owned companies into performance-oriented, synergetic entities within the context of the new regulations.
Previously Saad assumed several executive roles in the telecommunications industry including CCO for Zain Group in Kuwait, COO of Zain Jordan and more recently Deputy CEO and CCO of Ettihad Atheeb Telecom in Saudi Arabia. As such Saad Abu-Odeh has steadily led these respective departments into several successful implementations leading to double digit growth and successful turnarounds.
Saad Abu-Odeh holds a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering/Telecommunications from The University of Virginia and has attended executive courses with The University of Chicago and Insead.
Huda Izziddin
During the past 12 years Ms. Izziddin held the position of Director of Legal Affairs in both the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission, and Jordan Mobile Telephone Services Company (Zain) respectively.
Prior to that she worked as the In-house lawyer in Petra-Bank under liquidation, in addition to working as a practicing lawyer in two highly ranked law offices in Jordan.
Ms. Izziddin has participated in several seminars among which is the “Number Portability Seminar” held in Berlin 2002, and the “Women’s Leadership Seminar” held in Washington., D.C. 2009
Among her duties was the participation in the review of Laws, Bylaws, Policy Statements, Regulatory Instructions and consultations and providing opinions to the TRC and Zain on the same.
Ms. Izziddin holds an LLB in Private Law from the University of Jordan and a Diploma in English Legal Studies and an LLM degree in Commercial Law from Bristol University/ England.
Imen Edaili
Imen has excellent overall Senior Management experience and professional knowledge with in-depth experience in the field of Telecommunication with a total experience of 17 years, specifically in Mobile Telephone GSM (2G and 3G+), Broadband (WiMax), and IDEN technology.
During the years Imen held different positions in Major Mobile service Operators, Chief Technical officer (Shabakkat, Managed Servicer Zain Ghana), Deputy CTO/Technical Director Zain Nigeria, and Managing Director at Munier Suktian for Investment- Sudan and other middle management positions. Through the years of his experience Imen has gained expertise in many field of the telecom and management which can be summarized in : Project and Program Management, Operation Cost Performance and Optimization, Business Transformation & Restructuring, Strategic Planning and Execution, Start-up Management , Business Development and Revenue Growth.
Imen has a BSc. In Electrical Engineering from Wright State University Dayton, Ohio, United States of America.
Associate consultant, He earlier founded Merssad consulting. Prior to that, he held the post of Commissioner at the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) of Jordan for four years. He also was senior advisor to the Minister of ICT in Jordan and was instrumental in the success of the process reaching to liberalizing the Jordan telecom sector. He also held the position of senior consultant to the General Manager of the Palestinian Telecom Company (Paltel), and earlier co-managed a five year investment program with Jordan Telecom. He also worked in the pre-launching stage for the Arab Satellite Organization (ArabSat) after having worked for 12 years in managing of Jordan Telecom’s satellite earth station.
Khasawneh graduated from Ein Shams University, Cairo, Egypt and holds many professional memberships.
Haytham Bata
Haytham Bata is a professional executive focused on the management of operations with extensive experience in telecommunications, ERP in finance, sales and ERP implementation.
Haytham is the country manager for EMS Saudi (BlackBerry premium partner in the region). From 2004-2009, Haytham was the Sales Director of Zain Jordan where he supported the restructuring of the sales function, especially in the indirect channel. Before that, Haytham was the Financial Controller of Zain Jordan where he played a major role in transforming the department to a world class function. During this period, Oracle ERP was implemented in a record time.
Previously Haytham assumed several management roles in the telecommunications, finance and ERP implementation industries including senior auditor in Arthur Andersen, accounts manager in Jordan telecom and Business Solutions Manager in Scala (Epicor). As such Haytham has steadily led these respective functions into several successful implementations leading to functions restructuring and cost optimization.
Throughout his career Haytham Bata has exhibited special skills in strategic thinking, commercial operations, process re-engineering and leadership.
Haytham attended the EDP program in Kellogg (North Western University) and has completed his studies with honors from the University of Jordan in accounting and business admin.
Muna Hakooz
Muna Hakooz is capacity building, restructuring and HR consultant. She has 25 years of experience in good governance, restructuring, capacity building and human resources management & development fields. Lately, she worked as the EU Project Technical Assistant Team Leader working for Jordan Media Institute (JMI) and responsible for the administrative management of the project, supervising the implementation in all its components and coordinating all activities and experts involved. During her tenure at JMI she worked also as part-time consultant on several short-term USAID consultancy projects.
Prior to joining JMI Ms. Hakooz worked as a Capacity Building/ Key Expert for an EU funded project to provide technical assistance to the Ministry of Justice in Jordan from June 2007-November 2008.
In March 2005 she assumed the position of the Executive Director of Human Resources Policy Administration at the Ministry of Public Sector Development until 2007. Prior to that, she was the Director of Organizational Development and Resources Management Department, at Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) since November 1999.
She worked for the Ministry of Post and Communications for two years as the Director of Planning Department and Director of Management Development and Training Department at the same time. She also worked for Jordan Telecom in the Human Resources Management Department for twelve years.She is Manchester and Harvard educated as she has MSc. Human Resources Development (HRD), Manchester University, UK 1997, B.A in Business Administration and Economics from University of Jordan, 1984, and Senior Executive Program for the Middle East (SEPME) in Harvard University, USA, 2002-2003.
