Huda Izziddin – Chairperson of the Board - Legal Expert - Ms. Huda Izziddin has an LLB in Private Law from the University of Jordan and a Diploma in English Legal Studies and an LLM degree in Commercial Law from Bristol University / England. Among her skills was the participation in the review of Laws, Bylaws, Policy Statements, Regulatory Instructions and consultations and providing opinions to the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission and/or the Zain on the same.

Eng. Basem Rousan – Senior Director With a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Ein Shams University/ Cairo in 1971 and a Master degree in Electrical Engineering / Communications from Southern Methodist University- Dallas/USA in 1981 in hand, and an Executive Course at Insead in France, Eng. Rousan has over 30 years of executive experience in the telecommunication field in the public and private sectors. Mr. Rousan was appointed the Minister of Information and Communications Technology in 2006 and 2011, Mr. Rousan has impressive background in project management, site execution and engineering, strategic planning and financial analysis, furthermore, he has deep understanding of the general framework of government policy.

Eng. Mahmoud Al-Wreikat - Team Lead and Subject Matter Expert: Senior evaluation and development expert with 43+ years of international experience and 15+ years leading MEAL-based assessments of donor-funded livelihoods, youth, and gender programs; former Regional Project Coordinator (Geneva) and Program Director (Iraq) with the International Telecommunication Union; M.Sc., Wayne State University; Senior Executive Management qualification, Harvard Business School; fluent in Arabic and English.

Eng. Abdelfattah Abuqayyas, PhD is an ICT Expert with more than 40 years of experience in HRD, training, and institutional capacity building. He served as the Dean of Jordan’s first Telecommunications College, directing national training and curriculum strategies. As an ITU Centre of Excellence Coordinator, he delivered over 30 regional workshops and developed capacity-building programs for Arab regulatory authorities. He further led technical training and HRD consultancy for Saudi Telecom Company (STC) and the Saudi Telecom Regulator (CITC). 

Taroub Jamal El Bedour - Senior Gender Specialist Gender specialist with 25+ years’ experience in youth and women’s empowerment, gender mainstreaming, and capacity building across Jordan and regional programs; skilled in focus groups, participatory assessments, and evidence-based evaluations. She holds an M.A. in Women’s Studies (Distinction) from Jordan University and a B.A. in English Language with a minor in Public Administration from the University of Jordan.

Saad Abu-Odeh – Strategy and Marketing Specialist – Saad is an entrepreneur as well as a seasoned executive in multiple sectors including telecommunications, energy and manufacturing. He held C-Level positions in all three sectors in large corporations including Chief Commercial Officer at Zain Group in the Middle East. Additionally, he held Chief Executive Officer (CEO) position in Kingdom Electricity Co. in Jordan and in Middle East Complex and National Integrated Industries Complex in Jordan as well. Saad’s major accomplishments include a very successful commercial track record in telecommunications commercial management in a highly competitive market against France Telecom/Orange-Jordan, the consolidation of commercial management and the creation of a group role in a multi-country telecom operator. Saad also led the negotiation with the Jordanian Electricity regulatory authority for new electricity distribution licenses and the turn-around of two newly privatized electricity distribution companies. Additionally, Saad led the negotiation of a USD. 40Million loan from IFC and concluded the transaction successfully. Saad was also involved in the financial restructuring of two distressed manufacturing companies in Jordan. Saad Abu-Odeh graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering with a telecommunications specialty from the University of Virginia in the USA but quickly transformed into the commercial management and subsequently to the general management of corporations that are of medium to large size in Middle East terms. Saad Abu-Odeh also received an MBA degree from the University of Toronto in 2014.

 

Fouad Sahlieh – Project Management and Training with Over 28 years of technology leadership, managerial and project management experience within multinational organizations in Asia, North Africa, Middle East and USA. A highly skilled engineer in technology design and implementation along with training and project management experience. Fouad is holder of a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from the University of Florida, Gainesville in 1995, and an MBA in from the German Jordanian University, Jordan in 2012.
